Kaiaua – Fish & Chips

12km north of Miranda Holiday Park is Kaiaua and Kaiaua Fisheries. Open daily from 9am till 8.30pm. Famous fish and chip takeaway, basic sit-down restaurant.  There’s also an old style pub next door with evening meals too.  Also for boaties, a handy ramp to firth of Thames habour across the road.

Hot Springs Kiwi Taste

Next door to our holiday park is a family owned and operated café and take away, located within the Miranda Hot Springs complex. Corner Stone Cafe

Bugger Café

1492 State Highway 25, Pipiroa. 15 min drive, on the way to Thames. A delightful cafe with real character.  Coffees, breakfasts, lunch or just a snack. Hours 8am-5pm. And open late till 8.30pm for lite dinner Friday & Saturday nights.

Thames Township

Just 30km away, 25 min. Kopu/Thames is the gateway to the Coromandel Peninsula. This old township has good shopping, cafes, restaurants, a McDonalds, KFC and several pubs, like the Junction. Also there’s several local tourist activities, like the goldmine tours.

Junction Hotel

The Junction Hotel is one of the oldest establishments in Thames, with a reputation for good food and great service. It can get a bit noisy at weekends, but ideal for that weekday lunch or dinner.
