The Hauraki Rail Trail is one of the great cycle rides of New Zealand and can be accessed from
Kopu/Thames, Paeroa, Waihi or Te Aroha
. It is a 3-day bike ride for most or a 2-day ride for fit cyclists. There are also a range of shorter cycling options, including day rides, making it an ideal long weekend or weekend experience.

For cycling enthusiasts keen to experience this great new trail we offer the following:
Secure storage for your vehicle if you cycle from Miranda to Kopu/Thames to start the trail (regardless of whether or not you stay with us – although we hope you do!)

In approximately three to four years the Hauraki Rail Trail will be extended from Kopu/Thames to travel along State Highway 25 and then north along the Sea Bird Coast. It will then will run straight past our front door. In the meantime we encourage you to consider our range of accommodation when planning your cycle trip.
